Sheik Buys Crack...AND MORE

Sheik's buying drugs makes the internet. What do you think about this being filmed? It's not like it's being filmed for A&E Intervention, you know. This is strictly for the profit of the person who is filming it. It's pretty sad, but what can you do other than wince and say, "well, I hope that I'm not as fucked up when I'm in my late sixties". Sheik gets Eric Simms to call his friendly drug dealer in New Jersey. The guy doesn't want to come to their shitty hotel room, but Eric refuses to drive and pick it up. Sheik has a 100 dollars that he wants to spend on crack and marijuana. Damn, 40 dollars of weed for a week is good enough for me, but Sheik's habit appears to be rather excessive and expensive. Oh well! Eric tells Sheik to be quiet while he tries to reason with the dealer. The drug dealer hangs up in the end after Sheik starts ranting and raving after he hears that he won't get his drugs tonight.

This is the meeting between Hulk and Sheik a few months ago. Everything's going great and Hogan says he wants Sheik's number. Of course, Hogan being Hogan, he doesn't call back our hero which is some bullshit. I know there are a lot of Hogan lovers out there, but damn, your man is real shady. He can't even call the legend!? Ridiculous. Sheik's jacket is awesome, but can't someone tell him that dirty Atlanta Olympics winter cap looks horrible? Where's Tim Gunn to give Sheik some fashion advice?

I downloaded this a couple days ago and it's pretty good. I like his first album better, but Kanye has some good beats here. Just delete the songs with that faggot Mos Def and the lead singer of Coldplay. I like Coldplay but if it's gonna be him and Kanye, then it is just too much faggotry for one track. Otherwise, everything's just pretty good.

Guess What? Sheikymania is Out Of Control.

The Great Blog got the most page impressions in one day than ever, due to Sheik's appearance on the Howard Stern Show. I'm trying to keep up to date with all the new happenings in the Youtube World of Sheik, which is pretty hard to do when the guy is literally everywhere.

But I still want to make this blog about appreciating the old stuff and new stuff. There's still a lot of incidents that we haven't even covered yet, which I'm planning to get to next week. Hopefully, someone will either leak Sheik's appearance on Howard on Youtube, but, for now, go to MarksFriggin.com (click on the link to see the rundown of Thursday's show). From what I've read, it sounded like he had a good appearance. The guy went off on people and, also, played a friendly game of Anal Ring Toss. Glad he won $2,500, but let's hope he doesn't spend it all on medicine.

In the meantime, I'm really interested in the promotion that Sheik is doing right now. He's teamed up with his "nephews", the Magen brothers, and is going to release a documentary with them. Go to www.sheikshow.com and check out the footage there. It doesn't leave anything to the imagination. And update your Myspace friend listings, the new official Sheik myspace is /therealironsheik.

Sheik's appearance on the Monday Night Mayhem show, which I listened to a couple days ago. He seems pretty sober here. He seems excited to be on the Stern show. Although Hogan broke his heart and apparently kayfabed him by having Jimmy Hart take his phone number, he's got a lot of respect for him. Sheik's feelings on his contemporaries is usually pretty consistent, unless it's either Hogan or Blair. I guess he's looking forward to Anal Ring Toss or whatever. He says ESS Promotions correctly, which is tremendous.

He's still lying to us about getting a gold medal in Mexico City, but let's just nod our heads. At least he's got an AAU gold medal! This interview is tremendous. Just remember, he's the rheal. Even though he's a loyal company man, he does occasionally watch TNA.

Sheik does talk about Chris Benoit and he actually comes off better than Steve Blackman and Warrior, since he doesn't talk about defending the business so that is great. He's just upset about Daniel and Nancy Benoit dying. Even if he says "I know the man is innocent", but later on, he says that Benoit broke his heart, so I think accepting the truth is really hard for him. It's really a fucking shame what happened.

Alright, I'm done. Take care and have a great weekend, jackasses. New post probably on Monday, maybe later.

Carry On Tradition

Life takes you to different, weird places. Sheik went from Iran all the way to Minnesota, just to get away from the political strife going on in that country. Sheik had even said himself, "Iran broke my heart". When you're putting your life on the line for Farah Pahlavi [or her son] and something happens to force a change in power, the likelihood of having the opportunity to advance financially becomes threatened, at least in the short term.

So if even Khosrow Vaziri was working for peanuts [or $500 a week, as he claimed] for the University of Minnesota, the risk was worth it. Looking back, was it really the right decision for the man? Who really knows. But that long trip led him to work for Gagne and travel all around the world. Even if means wrestling in front of the legendary rabid fans of Puerto Rico.

Colon really impressed me here. So did the ref. And Sheik did his "calm down" hand motion which riles up the fans even more. That's my favorite part of his heel schtick. Check out Colon jumping from the ring over the top rope to the floor just to land a punch on the Sheik's fat head. That's what's great about wrestling. And that's something that's being lost - whatever "that" is. You know.

Believablity in wrestling is something that will never come back in America. Things are just too hokey, the camera angles are too business-exposing and wrestling fans creep the fuck out of 4 out of 10 readers of the Wall Street Journal.

But at least it's good to think to yourself, "hey, this shit was pretty cool at one time". Like when I was a slacker in college and watched ECW. Or around the time that Tiger Ali Singh decided to rep for the brown man while cutting Dusty Rhodes-like promos in Punjabi. It's true; Singh was the Dusty of all the dotheads. Even if Bradshaw shit in his turban.

The weekend is right around the corner. I can't wait. Hopefully, another Sheiky video post and some links to some great places. Until then, please stop hitting on that 16-year-old girl on AOL. It's only going to lead to bad things, man.

Iron Sheik Rants and Raves About Nikolai's Penny-Pinching Ways

I like that someone decided to actually film the tape of Sheik's rants off the television because you can see what an amazing temper that the guy has, even when he's not talking about Brian Blair. I must say that I want Sheik's USA hoodie. Do you think I could buy it for $5...and will it reek of marijuana? Regardless, another classic Sheik moment as he rants and raves all about Nikolai being a cheap Jew jabronie with an obsession for the George Foreman gimmick.

SHEIKY VALUE: He's missing several teeth! The video quality is kinda lackluster, but that's what happens when people can't convert DVDs to video or whatever. I didn't know Nikolai was a Jew; I thought he was a Croatian. Regardless, these were good times when the various videos started popping up.

My commentary means nothing, but I insist on typing something.
